Frequently asked questions

Can I view the kennels?

Yes, our viewing hours are between 9am until 10am & 4pm untill 5.30pm.

What vaccinations do i need for my dog?

All dogs coming into boarding must be fully vaccinated and their vaccination card must be shown on arrival. Dogs without certificates will be refused entry.

Dogs will need to have their normal routine vaccinations and they will need to have the kennel Cough vaccine.

The kennel cough vaccine will need to be given at least 10 days before boarding. Please note the vaccine is not 100% effective due to the many different strains, however the effects should be milder.

What should i bring with me?

We provide beds, vet bedding and blankets, but feel free to bring you pets own bed/bedding/crate as this may help your dog settle in

You may also wish to bring your dogs favourite toys, chews or treats.

We provide stainless steel bowls for food and water, if your dog needs a special bowl please bring this.

We advice that owners bring their dogs own normal food to avoid a change in diet, however we do have food available at a extra cost.

To make sure your dog has the correct amount of food please bring your dogs food measuring cup or you can bag their food up. If you are boarding more than one dog and they are on different food please label their foods. We also suggest you bring an extra days worth of food incase of any travel delays.

Can you administer medication?

Yes, If your dog is on medication please make sure it is labelled and clear instructions are given on the dosage and how often it is given.

What happens if my pet is ill?

In case of illness or injury we will always try to contact you first. Unless instructed other wise we will use our own vets which is Shires Vets, Stone.
